What You Can Do

The cost of doing nothing is going up every day. Here's how you can help achieve health care reform:

1. Do the math.

What's happened to your insurance premiums in the last few years? What do you expect to happen in the next few years? What does that do to your family's budget? Once you know how you're affected, you'll be able to figure out what you think is the best solution.

2. Spread the word.

Talk to your family and friends about why health care is so expensive. Start with an email that says:

Hi -- I'm surprised to learn that caring for the uninsured is increasing my family's health insurance premiums to the tune of $934 a year. There is a cost to doing nothing about health care reform, and it's average Colorado families who pay for it. You can find out more, including what you can do, at www.healthypartnership.org.

3. Speak up.

Let your legislators know that health care reform is important to you. The legislature will be looking at proposals for health care reform (see the details of the different proposals here) in the next session. Ask them to make health care reform a top priority. 4. Stay tuned.

As the work towards health care reform progresses, we'll need help from Coloradans across the state. Sign up for updates and we'll keep you posted with what you can do when it's most needed.
